ANIMATION ONLY, NOT A GAME!

My complete submission for the LospecJam3 contest! Presenting... Meremayde Quest from Sæsceaða Inc.! A side-scroll game similar to Flappy Bird, except you can kill enemies! Complete with title screen, how to play, and a sample level start. May or may not change some things before the deadline. Animation is not one of my strengths, so critiques are welcome! (Sæsceaða means "one who takes that which does not belong to them" in Old English... one of the many old words for pirate sailor.  Pronounced sash-shay-eh-thah.)

To be fair, the assets are really well done and (shocker!) could be used in an actual game! So in case somebody (including you) will want to make an underwater themed game - you’ve already done at least half of the work :D

But in case you want me to actually cavil, I’d say learning subpixeling is a good start to making your animations look cooler and smoother! (Truth is, you won’t need to re-do all your animations! Just add some inbetween frames and learn how to imitate <1px movement)

(My first attempt at replying didn't go through, so I am trying again) Thank you! I tried my best to make something functional, rather than just to look at. I have always been fond of the old "choppy" NES animations (think Castlevania, Metroid, the original Super Mario), so I tend to do the least amount of frames possible. Learning how to subpixel is definitely something on my to-do-list!
